Plot:
Nami has a Television showed where people send in home videos. One day she gets a video
tape of a woman being stripped, tortured and violently murdered. She decides to go to the
abandoned military base where the tape was filmed (the opening of the tape shows them
driving to the hideout). Once there Nami and her friends split up and wind up getting violently
murdered.

A violent murder on video tape. OUCH! Snake attack! Someone is watching.

Here is an late 80s slasher movie from Asian and I don’t think we’ll be getting an American
remake of this movie any time soon as this is an odd but daring little slasher movie with a bit of
a mean streak. It is one of the movies I’d love to actually see an American re make of but I’d
say they’d probably just tone it down to much.

This movie is bizarre. Some maggots. A very gory and painful looking death.

The movie starts off on the right foot as Nami, gets a weird package from someone containing
a extremely violent murder. The murder here is incredibly graphic as the screaming woman has
a blade stabbed into her eye then ripped upwards. Unsure of it being real or not she grabs her
crew (against the bosses wishes) and check out the murder scene.

Scary.... A dead body heads towards our heros. Some chasing.

Once there our group of victims to be split up and meet up with yet more horrific demises.
There are a few traps set up which fills the viewer with uncertainty. We’re never really sure what’
s going to happen next, there is a deep feeling of uncertainty. The death scenes are milked to
the T, showing victims squirm and wince in pain as they are violently dispatched. The suspense
it very high for the first part of the movie.

This is how most people leave the Neverland Ranch. An attack! The killer watches on.

The direction is amazing, the movie is great to look at. The sets are great and the direction is
very stylish. Everything is captured well on camera and just makes for a better viewing
experience, the grounds and sets where filled with Fog and mist. It helps that the suspense
works a lot, the director manages to use even the little things to build it up and create a sense
of dread, there are a lot of good unexpected jump scares.

A bloody attack. Some elements of rape. More blood is spilled.

The gore here is really nice and the effects are very well done. We get some nasty slashings,
an eye torn apart, a painful looking impaling, arrow through the head and more. The blood flows
in this one and characters spew blood and wince and squirm in pain. We also gets some
naked chicks showing there stuff off.

More violent and suspenceful attacks. A trap is set. Uwe Boll goes to extream lengths to get good reviews on his next movie.

On the flip side most of the characters are killed off fairly quickly, around half way through the
movie, and we’re left with just the final girl for far to long. As we know she’s going to survive to
the end the movie loses it’s feeling of uncertainty. They should of maybe had a few more
characters to kill off or maybe  spread out the deaths a little bit. There is another character
running around the base who is a rapist and a murderer. This is a pointless sub plot which
doesn’t seem to add anything to the movie. The character is never explained either, who was
he?

Uh-oh! O-U-C-H Nami is attacked.

There is no real plot to the movie at all, I was a little confused about a few things by the time the
end credits rolled, quite a few plot holes. Some things could have been explained a little better.
Then there is the ending, I’m not really sure what the think of the bizarre twist ending the movie
threw at us. On one hand it’s totally out there, very different and weird it‘s a little un predictable I
managed to sort of guess who was doing the killing but didn‘t expect it to turn out like that. It‘s a
little hard to explain without going into spoilers. It seemed like a nice and fucked up idea. On
the other hand it’s not really explained and feels like a bit of a cheat and might annoy
audiences. Either way the last fifteen minutes with final girl vs. the killer was still stylish fun.
Although the very ending is rotten and sort of spoils it.

More attacks. Close call. Some handy work.

Over all Evil Dead Trap is a stylish, suspenseful and gory movie. It’s different but fun and very
well made it’s fast paced and never dull. It has a few flaws that dragged the movie down but I
would still highly recommend this sick little movie.

Who is it? Showdown. The sprinkler system doesn't seem to be putting out that background fire.

COVER REVIEW:

Two images from the movie put
together. Pretty lazy and not very
eye catching. Could of come up
with something a lot better for this
movie.
