Leslie is having problems with her boyfriend, Josh. To get away from it all she decides to take a vacation to lake Tenkiller with her best friend, Jana. Unfortunately Leslies problems are only just beginning as Tor, a local man, has taken to killing people around the lake and he has his eye on Leslie.

Holy crap! What a pile of steaming shit! I have seen plenty of bad slasher movies in my time but this one takes the cake. Terror At Tenkiller is a bore in every sense of the word. It’s almost impossible to say what’s the worst thing about this stinker. I mean the “plot” well, there really isn’t one, at all. Your average Friday The 13th sequel has more a plot then this thing.

Firstly there is the script, it’s a total mess from start to finish. This is supposed to be a slasher movie yet about 95% of the thing is Leslie and Jana talking on and on endlessly. You’d think that with a script filled with dialog it would at least manage to make you care for the characters, wrong! What action there is, is far to quick, it comes and goes before you have the chance to get into it.

There are no surprises or suspense to the movie, where the hell is the terror the title promises??? The killer, Tor, is pretty much given away during the second killing, so there is no trying to guess who is behind it. It’s a bit of the shame because the movie could of played with your head a little. The movie should have been played that we think Josh is behind it all until the killer is revealed at the end.

The pace of the movie just drags and drags, the two girls wonder around aimlessly, just talking to one another, at one point I thought about switching it off and tossing the DVD out the window, it’s that dull. It doesn’t help that the acting is very wooden, everyone seems to sleepwalk through their roles, as if they themselves where bored out of their minds. Any other character to show up is pretty much killed quite quickly, we needed more characters to kill off.

The direction isn’t any better, it’s just point and shoot the entire time. What chase scenes we do get are extremely flat, I found it very hard to be on the edge of my seat, or even care about the person being chased. Also who the hell is Tor, to add even more insult to injury the movie never explains anything about him at all, he’s just there, he kills a few people and falls in love with Leslie (or something) along the way, that’s about it.

Do I have anything positive to say about this turd? Well, actually yes, on a slight plus side, we get some decent enough gore effects here and there. We get an ok slit throat, a groovy sliced off arm and a decent stabbing in the back. When characters become very annoying it’s fun to see them get it horribly! Yet about 30 seconds of decent effects really can’t make up for about 85 minutes (that feels like 850) of pure boredom.

Terror At Tenkiller is a complete waste of time, I just can’t recommend it at all. It’s not even so bad it’s funny, it’s just bad. It looks and feels like a feature length TV Soap, I got the feeling the makers didn‘t want to do a slasher movie and tried to use the genre as a stepping stone. It took me about four sitting to eventually get through it all. Skip it, there are so many better slasher movies sitting on shelves.

COVER ART REVIEW
Well it looks like they get an A for effort in the cover art at the Terror At Tenkiller artwork is pretty decent. I love the tag line "Getting away for the weekend? Just try to get away, just try" You can only laugh at the DVD treatment though. It's on a double bill with The Last Slumber Party, a movie that's worst then Terror At Tenkiller in every way. It's a double bill of pain! 2 Classic Slasher Flicks, HA! Yeah right! Double The Gross! Pah! Talk about getting someones hopes up. Also the quality on the DVD is awful! Over all this artwork is eye catching and will lure unsuspecting people to rent or buy.
